Reminds me of a story... ;D I grew up in a suburban neighborhood, and when I was in high school, my family moved to a rural area. I knew what a tick was, but I did not know what a tick looked like. I was sitting in my high school's equivalent of tutorial one day when I felt a bump on my head...and felt the bump come off into my hand...and noticed it was a gross looking bug! I went to the teacher (who incidentally happened to be a Christmas tree farmer in a rural area) and showed him the bug from my hair, grossed out...and he said, "Aw, it's a tick, it's nothing," squeezed it, and threw it away in the trash can...at first I was a little surprised he didn't send me to the nurse or something, but I guess he was desensitized enough not to care!

Have you heard that new country song .... "I want to check you for ticks"?
I don't care who you are, that's funny.
