POSTED ON THE NWTF SITE...
Eric Corey SCORED
Just a quick update, I heard from Eric this evening and he scored on a nice tom today.
It had a 9" beard and 1" spurs...I didn't ask how much it weighed.
He did say it came in from behind the blind spittin' & drummin' and he shot him about 15 yards away.
They are heading back out in the morning for bird number 2
Hookspur has done it again, from what I gather, he has called in birds for 5 people now and only 1 guy missed his bird. You are the MAN, Doc.
You've done it people...you have fulfilled this young mans dream of completing his slam, and now he has done it, because of YOU! Congratulations to everyone.
I will post updates as they come in on how they make out with bird number 2.
Dean
When I hear more and get pictures I'll pass it on .

Eric is a great young man. Through the Angola fire dept, we have a youth hunt for kids like Eric every year. I have mntd two bucks for eric over the past few years and it is definitely a privlege to have an opportunity to help out kids like this. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are. God bless Eric and congrats.

Eric's hunt is over.
The only other bird that he had come in was a jake and he let it go for another hunter to take next year. A true class act!
The Coreys' had a great time together on the hunt and thanks everyone who had a part in it.
Mom will be uploading pictures of the hunt and as soon as I see them I will post them here and on the Excalibur board.
Thanks guys and gals for making this wish of a turkey slam come true for this very special young man.
