Wasn't that a pitiful first half of basketball?
By both teams..

Even though I had UCLA picked in the poll I was rooting for Indiana.
Too bad they had such a bad first half.
They got down to a position to win it and then threw the ball away..

Yeah, they were sizing up the same slipper that Butler put on earlier, but that last second turnover killed'em... that and totally cold shooting... never seen them have a run of missed shots like that in both halves...
They did not give up, though, and I give them credit for that...

Tough loss, but they dug themselves in too deep of a hole.
I do see bright future for IU now that they have a real coach.

I went to the southport semistate yesterday and watched Erick Gordon play 21 points in the first quarter and 39 for the game, the kid is unreal. He will definately be the man in Bloomington next year.

I say bringing Knight back is the only way IU will have a winning season, he is a jerk but he can coach and motivate.

If you don't consider this a winning season you have fallen off the bus. No one expected the Hoosiers to go this far. Coach Sampson has brought the winning tradition back to Indiana. I thought that was the best defensive play by both teams in the tournament so far. If IU hit a 2-3 more shots we would have shocked the world. Next year will be awesome.

No travis but i did sit on the second row on the north central side.
The 2a game was unreal crowds were incredible and loud very exciting the 4a games crowds were brutal our local school has more fans at a regular season home game than bloomington south did at the semi state.

Looks to me as if Sampson has gotten them moving again with out the ball. Instead of running down to a spot and standing. I hated that. But then again I liked Knight and his motion. Cut and Run, Squirrel cage, pick that man, Pass, pass, pass, Belly up and play D. Was not sure how well I would like this guy but he is definitely 10 times what the other guy was. This type of offense should get more class A recruits. Some play to earn an education, some play for a chance to play pro. Those that are the pro type prospects go where they think that they will be able to showcase their talents. IU now looks more like that place again. Hopefully winning is back.

Both teams D was awesome. Big difference to me was UCLA hit their free throws and IU didn't. Wasn't real sure about Sampson at first but now think it was a great choice. Looks like he will at least try and keep the top in state players in state. Looks like there are going to be some fine games between Purdue and IU again.
