Spring road rally set for Pokagon, April 29-May 1 Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines. It's almost rally time. The annual spring state park road rally, April 29-May 1, features Pokagon State Park, its Potawatomi Inn and Steuben County. Participants will travel that region's back roads to discover its hidden jewels. Ralliers pilot their own vehicles, as a navigator steers them to the area's historic sites, natural wonders and hard-to-find treasures. "Base camp" each night is the rustic inn, which graces the shores of Lake James in Angola. Cost is $199 per person (based on double occupancy), which includes two nights of lodging, breakfasts and dinners, an awards ceremony, two days of rally events and nightly entertainment. Reservations can be made only by calling 1.877.LODGES1. The fall rally is Sept. 9-11, when participants will travel from Turkey Run State Park and covered bridge country to McCormick's Creek State Park, then to Spring Mill State Park, exploring those areas' natural beauty while staying in a different inn each night.
