then plan to hunt LBL after opening weekend. Hunted in last year with my son during the youth season. Heard birds everywhere, they hit the ground then shut up there

I can think of several who do. The best option would be, to not send the money to the Fed to begin with. I'm not really sure how big a deal this is. Most hunting land owners I know, do not hunt exclusively on their own land, so they all get hunting licenses anyway. As a matter of fact, I can not think of any that hunt exclusively on their own land.

I think you mean Moot point. Only folks that should be Voteing are Land Owners with huntable land.... All other are a mute point .... IMO Very easy to vote Yes if your not a land owner! talk about Kings and serfs... That's like saying only politicians should vote.

Same as the Killer B? I made a nice little jake out of one of those decoys last year....here is the post: I did a little project with my 4 year old son. He wanted to make a jake decoy using a turkey fan I had frozen from last year's bird. April 2014 1.) cleaned all meat and skin off then and dried with 20 mule team borax, dried for about a week clamped down flat on cardboard 2.) added JB weld to secure base 3.) dried overnight they spray painted black and drilled 7/64th inch hole to mount to decoy Final product!! Cant wait until April and hopefully we shoot a gobbler off this decoy!! January 2015

why would they care who leased it? They get their money, do the paperwork, and they are done.
Trespassing problems on a lease? Good luck.
they won't even get return emails, let alone get involved.

Peabody coal in not doing well. Selling off land all over. DNR had the chance to buy 8000 acres of this property.
This is after they put in a ton of gas wells on this property....

Ty, I won't disagree with you.
This low cost product provides NaCl to the deer which is the only missing mineral they cannot find in nature.
I have no need for trophy rocks or other type products, regular stock salt and minerals work just fine. Primary reason is to put them in front of my cameras, I have not seen any data to support the idea they offer any significant nutritional value.

welcome. I live south of West Lafayette in Montgomery county and it is a nice area.
Worked at Purdue a few years, time off benefit is good, but the pay and benefits were lousy and the beauracracy is terrible. Still have lots of friends that work there.

One individual bought most of it and is now leasing it through basecamp Ran into some guys from Indy who just leased some it for 45/acre a couple years ago. They had no idea it used to be public ground. Wonder if they had any trespassing issues? Until you see a for sale sign on it, I wouldn't bet on a lot of Peabody's ground being offered to the public. I'm betting someone, probably from Evansville, ends up with most of it. Check the web site I posted earlier. I've already seen land that wasn't "posted" for sale, sold. My parents thought about buying some of it - they contacted a realtor, who contacted Peabody's Real Estate branch, and got a list and maps of property for sale form north of Clay City to south of Sullivan... and that was two or three years ago.
