It was a bad deal for the state, but just how much did the state pay for them deer and turkeys that we are killing. Its always been funny to me how the animals are the states until one jumps in front of your car. then its all yours.

I got mine when they were $856 about 5 years ago. I told my wife that it would pay for itself in about 10 years. That was before the prices went up, now I figure about 7 so I'm getting ready to start hunting for free. I got comp hunting only.

I haven't done a park hunt, because my partner(son) hasn't been old enough. This year that all changes. I live right next to clifty falls and will put in for it and charleston this year.
We have hunted big oaks for the last 4 years and taken deer in 3 out of 4. This year was bad all over from what i'm reading. When I checked out at bo there were only about 40 deer checked in, but that was with only about 400 hunters.

The first deer I killed was about 15ft from me. I was sitting against a tree and had looked left as I turned my head back to the right a doe ran past at about the same distance. She went another 25 yards, stopped and looked back. Thinking that there must be something following her I turned and waited and here came a bb and he stopped and I popped.
