The odds are definitely in favor of Alberta or Saskatchewan. Those provinces have a much higher ratio of B&C bucks -to- bucks harvested, than any of the lower 48 states.
However ... A world record caliber whitetail is basically a "freak of nature" such as a 7'+ tall human being. A "freak" could turn up just about anywhere that regularlly produces big deer.

I bet it will be a surprise, no matter where it comes from. The James Jordan buck that held the title for years came from Wisconsin, did it not?

Woody - Not to argue, but I believe Buffalo County is tops for P&Y bucks, rather than B&C. Not that it matters much. Maybe we better go up there and check it out some November.

Actually it is number one in both B & C and P & Y. It would be nice to check it out - IF I could afford it. I'd have to mortgage the house. .
