I know Art.....and I'm trying to tell him....in a very comical way.... that I'd love to see him (or anyone) gather the nerve to grab a racoon or "shew" a raccoon that's literally in your face hissing and growling..... It's one thing to be on the ground with a critter that's all wound up, it's quite another when you are tethered to a tree and have no where to go if it decides to leap onto your face. It's all good. ;D ;D ;D

The best part was this coon being three feet from his face and he sends me a text message that was classic.

Grabbing a coon by it's tail would be grabbing ahold of something you couldn't turn loose of.
My pappy told me to never do that. That has kept me out of a passle of trouble over the years.
I did get in trouble, but I could always turn loose and get out of there.

I had three coons come walking down the path next to me as I was trying to get my climber on the tree opening morning... When I turned on the light and scared them, one headed up the tree 5' away. Thought about shooting it, but it wasn't much more than a thought. Between them and the 'possums, my melons and garden took a MAJOR hit this year. I wanted retribution! BTW, Travis- are those Blazers on your arrows? I've got the same color combination on mine, shooting through a WB too.

Travis I think Mig is just trying to tell you, in a very nice way, not to be a big sissy girly boy. ;D Hit the nail on the head Art!! By the way....don't grab them by the tail......(I was just kidding). Works a lot better if you just grab 'em by the back of the neck!! lol! Yeah....try that.......

I had just started pulling my bow to my stand about 6:30 am Sunday morning when a heck of a coon fight started about 30 yards from my stand. Talk about making the hair stand up on the back of your neck. Coons screaming & hissing for a couple of minutes. About 7:45 am a coon comes walking up a deer trail with a cut nose & wound on his right shoulder. The fella wasn't moving very well.
