Dial up at home - that's the price you pay for living in the country.

High speed at work. Just got cable at home.
Sudden link cable has a special now for high speed cable......19.99 a month for 6 months , then 24.99 for 6 months then like 34.00 after that. No contracts. Cancel anytime. I will ride this pony until it goes up to 34.00 then its back to dial up.

semisneak, bet me! We got broadband through the power lines about a year ago, and the system went down in July to switch to a newer type of gear, and we were back on dial-up for a few months while they got the bugs worked out. I was seriously looking at satellite high-speed that would have cost three times what we pay for broadband. It's hard to give it up once you get used to it.

Im hoping to play the card of when you call to cancel they keep offering a few more months at 24.00 . When I canceled my dial up they were offering for me to keep it for 4.00 a month. I was so sick of it I still told them to forget it. I am liken this cable connection at home .

Once you go broadband......you'll never go back......'er somethin' like that. ;D That's for sure! When I bought my first PC back in 1998 I had "Windows 95" and later "Windows 98". Had both on Dial-up but as time went on and things got more advanced in the world of computers and the internet; I bought a new PC with "Windows XP" and hooked up to Broadband. I currently pay $30/month for the service.
