Russ, I haven't tried to view it yet, but you might try using a different browser especially if you are using Netscape. I have trouble a lot of times gettting videos to play with Netscape, and have no trouble at all with Explorer.

Thanks, danf. It turned out to be the slow connection. Saw it at our son's house on Tuesday, and finally got our broadband hookup back here at home today and watched it again.
Great video! Sightings of unusual animals, particularly big cats, have always been a fascination to me.

Big cat for sure,We have a few panthers here in our area which I have seen a glimpse of twice, once early in the morning as he slipped across the road ahead of me and once from a stand but that time was partially obscured by vegetation. What a feeling to see one.The color sure is not the same as ours and the tail is held different too.Any idea what is is?

People are still saying they are seeing it. One reliable source saw it about a half mile from one of my hunting sites. They have goats. I hope the cat tries walking by my stand! ;D

You shine your flashlight up to your stand and two green eyes are looking down at you with ears back and teeth showing?

I can't believe that the conservation officer in that clip said it looked to be the size of a bobcat! Wow, that is a BIG bobcat! It was pretty obvious that the cat was at least 200 yards away by the way she zoomed in on it. Why would that conservation officer say something so ridiculous?

It probably was the size fo a bobcat. The footage was sent off to experts out west who moniter mountain lion populations and it was determined it was a house cat.

I think it's a little odd that a professional from the zoo says it's a big cat, and 2 CO's say it's not. Smells like conspiracy to me! The DNR probably released some to keep insurance companies happy. I have heard of 2 different colored cats down in Decatur, a tan and a black one. A guy I work with, who hunts cougars every year out west, saw it south of Fort Wayne out in a cut bean field with his own eyes. He said it is a cougar! It just seems a little strange that the only people casting doubt to the cats existence are members of the DNR. I'm not calling Greendeem a liar, or a co-conspirator, he's just reporting what he's told I'm sure. I hope somebody kills one soon so we can have definitive proof once and for all!

I heard from a somewhat questionable source last night that someone in Willshire, Ohio, about 8 miles from Decatur, shot one of the big cats. They looked for it for 2 days and couldn't find it. They called in the DNR who found it within 15 minutes, because of it's tracking collar. This source said the DNR admitted they released 11 pairs of cougars in Indiana. Supposedly there is a lawyer looking into why people were not informed by the state/feds if this is true. I have no idea how true this info is, just thought I would post it just in case.

How does Woody know the location of decaturs stand, and is he really low enough to sneak into it? ;D

;d ;d ;d Woody knows the location of every member's stand. When you join this sight your pc shoots a GPS tracking device into your mouse hand. He has a big map in his garage with all of our stands plotted on it!
