Saw on the sign at Hoosier Park (the horse track in Anderson) that Ted Nugent is going to be there on Oct 22nd for "Sportsmans Night". Have no idea what that means, just thought I let any die hard Nugent fans know.

I live 4 miles from the track, and I have yet to step foot inside that place. I'm not much of a gambler though.

Nuge believes in high fence hunting and since our DNR doesn't he thinks we should be boycotted. Of course that doesn't apply to him coming here to make money. Boycot Nuge!

Didn't realize that about him. Never been a real big fan anyhow. He is a little too "deep" for my taste, almost at times bordering psycho in my opinion. But he has done a lot for hunting. Certainly won't be joining any "spirit of the wild" campaign's if he is pro high fence though.

Ted is entitled to his opinion just as everyone else is. While I don't agree with the proposed boycott I am not about to bash him for that when he is one of the few that really gets it. Very few people have done as much for hunters as he has and none has been as outspoken in support of hunting as he. For those that would like to make up their own minds here is the link to Ted's site: www.tnugent.com/

I must have missed it.
Can you point me to where Ted *himself* is calling for a boycott?

I didn't see it either, if it was posted on his site it wasn't anywhere that I thought to look or has been removed.

I'm just guessing on the entire meaning but I'm pretty sure it is from the expression, "The king is dead, Long live the king", meaning either long life to the new king, or more likely, long life to the old king's memory. It is Ted's way of honoring the animal.

TED DID SAY IT! He had a VERY long post about it in their chat forum. I had the link at one time. I'll see if I can find it..... I also recall him having the same opinion on another part of his site but I think that gets changed around alot. ON the H.H. forum a bunch of the Nuge crew came in there and posted about never spending another dime in Indiana as well. Of course all this came up before Ted decided to come here and make some dough himself.
I will look for the link and I will post it here later if I still have it.

I seen on his TNUSA site, a while back, where some moderator from Anderson, probably a deer farmer, was moaning and groaning about Director Hupfers' decision....but I never seen a post from Ted **himself**.
If you can find that link I would appreciate it.
