Well, my dad had his 5-way bypass surgery on Wednesday and is starting recovery....of course in a lot of pain, but doing well. Thank you to all of you fine sportsman for all your prayers and support. I've been spending time up at the lake cottage getting all the "closing" work done since he's out of commission. After finishing winterizing the boats last night I still had enough day light left and about a dozen red worms in the fridge to get a line wet. Not sure if it was the front moving in or just hit a good spot, but in about 20 minutes, I had enough to whip up this little batch. I found a tube of cajun venison sausage in the freezer too, so whipped up some biscuits and gravy, got the oil hot, and well....you can see from the picture! Can't wait till the old man is fully recooped and I can put one of these meals in his new, clear arterys!!! ;D Sorry about the picture quality, picture phones are cool, but don't take the best pictures!

Now you did it...gone and made me hungry!
I've got a question for ya....how come when you eat the best tasting foods, you can feel your arteries clogging up as you eat?? ;D
I love biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, etc. but I try not to eat to much of it.
I'm glad to hear your dad is healing up.

Sorry Danb and gundude, but with heart issues in the family, looks like I'll be in the same boat. Looks like it will be a BIG salad for supper tonight!

Man , that's a dream meal for me ! It might just become a dream too , I got the results of a recent cholesterol screening , let's leave it at "I'll be test driving some Crestor ™ after next Tuesday." Being 45 and Southern has it's drawbacks sometimes ...

I'm personally a Miller Lite man myself, but I'll never turn down ANY cold one, and the C.L. was all that was in the fridge ;D It's Fish lake just outside of White Pigeon, MI. The state line actually runs through the middle of the lake. Not real big, but no public launch so traffic and fishing is nice!

How is that bow you bought off my brother?? Let's just say I need to keep practicing! ;D I've been shooting it about every night in my basement at about 12 yards. Finally starting to group them in a 3"-5" circle. I'm about ready to try it at 15-20 yards and hope I don't lose/ruin all my arrows. Shooting instinctive and with the ole' recurve is fun. My goal is to be comfortable enough and prolific enough with the bow to take it afield this year and hopefully bag a deer.
