Well as timing would have it, I will see how well the Ten Point warranty is. As the archery season is giving way to firearms season, I noticed that this last week that when I would cock my crossbow it would get harder to crank and a slight screech could be heard. Then upon retraction of the cocker it would not retract on its own, and I would have to crank it back in. So while I was in the stand and things were slow, I decided to take a look at it. And found that the cocking cables were cutting a groove into the cover as it was being cranked to cock. That afternoon after the hunt I took the covers off to see what was going on. I found that every thing was tight. But the cables (spectra material) was slightly frayed from the cables cutting into the cover. But what I did find was that the cable retaining loops were out of wack, the right side was rubbing up against the cable spool creating a lot of metal shavings, the left side was barely touching the spool, the left spool had a couple of nicks on the edge of the spool that could cause extra wear on the cable. As I inspected the cocking device I noticed that it looked off center, maybe a factory issue. I reinstalled the covers and decided to send them an email. Waiting on a authorized return confirmation number. I will not be needing after today for a while, due to shoulder surgery Dec 2.
