That's what most people do to celebrate HALLOWEEN unless your from TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN. Every year for the past 10 years or so the wife and I go up to Traverse City around this time to enjoy all that this area has to offer from fall colors to fantastic foods but most of all to see the HALLOWEEN decorations. There is a street(s) that they close off and have a Trick or Treat night like no other. They will have food trucks and TRICK or TREATERS to the tune of 950 to 1200. Some of these folks will spend thousands of $$ and weeks getting ready for this event. Here are some photos of some of those homes:

Some of these decorations are custom built.

It wouldn't be Halloween without SPIDERS.

Good time of year to be in TC. It's a darned crowded zoo from June thru early September, population probably triples and the streets can't handle that kind of traffic.
Head out the peninsula to Knot Just a Bar and try a Perch Cone for lunch or supper.

Some big decorations - the spiders look like they might have been inspired by The Hobbit - noting too many similarities.
