I'll gladly carry them, if you keep us on birds like you did last year. Don't let me down, I got spoiled last year! Speaking of, i'll drop by or give you a call before the opener to pick up a few decoys.

Hopefully it will be a cold winter and we can drive into the fields most of the time!!! RIIIGHT it will be cold wet and mud up to our thighs just like every other stinking year.... I can't wait.
Indy you picked a good time to start goose hunting. 410 has got his stuff in order and probably one of the best hunters I've ever known. But sometimes those dang geese just don't fall into our laps like they did EVERY time you went out. Shoot the slimy snake even called some in....

OH duff ain't he in for a big surprise, we got him hooked now. It's like drugs, the first ones always free.;D I hope we have mud up to the butt and I'll remember he volunteered to be the carrier of decoys. With his long arms he should be able to carry 10 decoys per trip, that's what 10 trips for decoys, one for blinds then another for Dirty Dogs blind and pad. I'll carry my own gun and coffee thermos. Not that I don't trust him with it but strange things tend to happen when he's around others guns.

Hopefully his luck will continue through this season, and it rubs off on his partners.

I hope we have mud up to the butt and I'll remember he volunteered to be the carrier of decoys. Well, me carrying decoys is based purely on the success of the previous hunt. If you guys can't call as good as you did last year, then I can't carry decoys. I'll carry my own gun and coffee thermos. Not that I don't trust him with it but strange things tend to happen when he's around others guns. If you think what I do with guns is bad, you should see what happens with a thermos of coffee.

Man, with those kind of threats I'd best get out and start training some more geese to come when called.

duff,
You know I've been training with a loaded pack every M - W for the past 5 months in order to prepare myself should any field hunting opportunities arise, like in your backyard. ;D I'm good for 8 FBs/trip plus a blind and gun, and you know how good I am at calling! ;D

So far the only geese in my back yard are plastic. I have been seeing them fly over on a regular basis, but right at dark till bout 10 pm.
Now doves, I have a little flock of those that I have been feeding. They are off limits though....at least for now.

Slimy Snake Unless you are just hauling rocks for the fun of it, I know your backpack is equal to a box of shells, that is on the extra sample site also.

Duff, Indy & Snake, it don't look like I'll have to pick up a decoy this year. You guys are all alright. Now who wants to come over and help put them all back together, I had to remove the feet (taken them apart) and heads to store them in the trailer.

Heck, geese won't know the difference. Just throw the loose heads and feet around the spread.
