This actually works, I've tried it.
We came across this exercise for seniors to build muscle strength in the arms and shoulders. It seems so easy, we thought we'd pass it on. It suggests 3 days a week.
Begin by standing on a comfortable surface where you have plenty of room at each side. With a 5-lb potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides , and hold them there for as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, then relax.
Each day you'll find you can hold this position for a bit longer. After a couple of weeks move up to 10-lb sacks. Then 50-lb sacks, and then eventually try to get where you can lift a 100-lb sack in each hand and hold your arms straight out for more than a full minute. Once you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the sacks.

This actually works, I've tried it. So are you admitting to being a senior?

If it works and gets you to carry my decoys, yep I'm a senior. And don't forget to bring my coffee Thermos.

Duff, what's the big bird status in yopur areas? I'm probably headed out to the pasture again in the morning for a look see, nothing last time I was out. They're starting to build up at the police station pond. I hope to get the decoys & blinds out this weekend and start getting that grass bundled up.

I will try to get over there Sunday morning to see what is shaking. I just ain't seeing em. Saw about 15 in a small patch of cut sweet corn down the road, but too close to houses and roads to hunt IMO. They were only bout 20 yrds off the road. Goose call in hand got their attention really quick ;D They said what the He** was that sick sound!
