I am supposed to work a 4 1/2 hour shift tomorrow, however still not feeling good and cannot sleep properly no matter what I do. Really bad depression that feels a bit different from what I have experienced before. Insomnia, you name it. Yesterday a cough began, today muscle soreness. It is so hard to tell if it's all anxiety/depression or if it is anxiety/depression getting aggravated by medication withdrawal (from something I stopped taking one month ago for muscle stiffness) and medication side effects (from the stuff I was on for the gut infection). I got pale with headache and vision changes a few days ago. And yesterday morning nearly fainted. We don't know what is going on but it sure is being disruptive, big time! Not my first rodeo though.... Hoping and praying you get better soon !

Covid is no joke. It is not the flu or like the flu. We are just now beginning to see the effects of long Covid.
Hope you get better soon!

Feeling better today but quite swollen. 4 hours of standing on my feet cutting pizzas and 'sticks and helping at the cash register was good for me. I came home early because we suddenly got a super quite period when the shift for the day was overlapping with that for the evening so there were extra hands in the house and I didn't have anything to do. COVID really is no joke, and so are gut infections. I didn't even feel awake today until around 10:00 and so I was a little rushed heading out the door to work (I had even contacted my manager and let her know I didn't feel good and wasn't sure if I would be able to make it). I did learn however don't take Benadryl to sleep when you are already feeling depression... It makes depression far worse. We are still trying to figure things out.

A bunch of things "making the rounds" again. COVID, colds, flu, and a lot of gut infections apparently. Not to mention all the deli and cheese recalls..... Our local Meijer had their deli and cheese shelves mostly empty for more than a month.

Covid is still very serious especially for immune compromised individuals. Just went to a funeral this afternoon for a friend that I worked with at Alcoa and went to church with for 25 years. He had been having health problems the last couple years. He had some sort of blood cancer and went thtough a bunch of treatments including Chemo. I had lunch with him about three weeks ago and he looked great. He came down with Covid a couple weeks ago and got pneumonia on top of that. He was in ICU and then took a turn for the worse. They put him on a ventilator and he was on constant dialysis. That’s not what he wanted to do so they removed life support. He passed shortly after He was a good man

It would be a tough call when it is you or a loved one recieving the care. As a relatively healthy person I can not think of anything worse than to be hooked to machines that I knew I likely would not be getting away from.

Have worked a few times this month but had a mess-up with my availability (manager scheduled me before I changed my availability) so haven't worked as much as I would have liked. I work Thursday afternoon and Saturday evening but might have to cut Saturday's shift a little short as I have an astronomy club meeting that evening with public viewing afterwards. It's been nice to work but my scoliosis is coming back in the opposite direction of what it used to be in so that's been ...... fun. Working the front is nice because (1) get to interact with and serve people and (2) sometimes someone I know comes in and we get to talk while I build their pizza or help them pay (or wait for pizzas to come out of the oven for cutting).
Problem is I'm not feeling so good anymore so have some medical tests to do this week and hopefully will be able to make it through my shifts.
