I can't commit just yet. Getting a restaurant job and need to buy more bullets. I know it's not that far off now but I need to make sure I have the time to go out at least once a week. Every year it seems there are a few that don't even make it out, it's all in fun anyway. Shoot the last 2 years I only made it out once each year.

Looking like some rain forecasted first couple days for us. There, hopefully I jinxed it. Lol.
We don't get too excited early on with the leaves and bugs, but we are gonna try a time or two maybe for a change. May hit a public land FWA to go for a long walk. Will see.

I may miss the first few days or maybe even a week or so, I'm currently without phone service and with my health, don't trust being out in the field with no way of calling for help. I'm busy with doc appointments most of next week too, we'll see though.

I took confirmation shots today on some of our guns that we use for skurries. Several standard 22's, a 22 mag, a 17 HMR, and 22 Hornet. All have their place in the season depending on foliage and where/how we hunt. I ordered another Stoney Point Pole Cat bipod today. Luke claimed mine, so we needed another setup.
I even got out an old Winchester model 74 that my father in law gave me before he went to the big skurry woods in the sky. It was his skurry sniper. Hard to imagine how many that gun has taken during his time in the Kentucky hills. I had Luke shoot it and he said it was heavy like a real gun. Lol. It's got see thru scope rings and a fixed 4 power scope. It shoots dang good.
Hopefully the weather holds out and gives us an opportunity this weekend to get out and relax a little. Good luck.

That reminds me, I have a Mossberg 151b that my dad bought used when I was a kid and gave it to me. That and my FWB 124 Air Rifle were my squirrel guns. I should get that 151b out and make sure it's still sighted in.

I just looked up the production years of our Win model 74. Made from 1939-1955. I had no idea it was that old, but still looks and shoots great! I remember one of my wifes uncles telling me there was 2 different calibers made, 22lr and 22 short. He has both models. In fact, all of the brothers and her late papaw have/had this model gun, so obviously it must do the trick.

Little late but count me in. Had a lot of fun doing this last year. Have yet to make sure I still have the right license (from Spring Turkey), have yet to find time to get out (between state Fair, school, appointments, and work), but will try to get out a few times.

Hey, I’m new here! Would it be possible for me to sign up, or is it too late? If I can still sign up, put me on any team! I go squirrel hunting a lot!
