The active ingridient in RID/Nix is ... permethrin! Wow.. has to be drastically diluted We used it on my daughter when she had lice when she was little and it didn't work to get rid of the lice, and we did the whole process of combing out the nymphs, too. Surprisingly, what did work was coating her in mayonaise, putting a shower cap on her, letting her sleep through the night with it mixed in her hair, and then washing it out the next morning. Anecdotal or not, it worked.

When I first bought our property, it was loaded with Ticks ! They had cows roaming around everywhere as well . After purchasing the cows were taken away & the ticks got worse. I started doing controlled burns every year & some malathion spraying & things have gotten a lot better over the years . I still spray whenever going into the woods. I believe 🔥 does help though
