So decided to go hunt today...last night around 6pm. Ran to dunhams got a call and last box of turkey loads. Got to the property at about 7. Walking down the edge and hear a gobble, kind of close. Find a tree, sit down, put the call in for the 1st time. Make some noises...not sure it was a turkey call or a sick elk. Bird goes into strut 25-30 yards in the thick brush. Walks 3 steps into a clearing and bang. 715 bird on ground. Crappie fishing is harder!

It’s hard until it’s not. All about having a spot with low-pressured birds IME. I struggled mightily in the HNF for several years.
Aren’t those quarry birds tame anyway?
Nice bird and photo!

WTH? Did you use rusty steel shot to kill it?
Nice bird and good going!
Come on up here and show me how to do it. I'd ask Deadeer, but he's had 3 strikes this year already. ROFL.

So you took span870 with you. You fell asleep against a tree while he called the bird to 8 yards and woke you up in time for the shot? Please don’t ban me 😂. Congrats on your bird!

So you took span870 with you. You fell asleep against a tree while he called the bird to 8 yards and woke you up in time for the shot? Please don’t ban me 😂. Congrats on your bird! Nope. He shot it fair and square by himself. I talked to him for a good 45 minutes and congratulated him and told him how "happy" I was for him. Why not? Not like he's traveled to several states year after year. Pretty much a walking zombie. Spent an insane amount of money on tags. Sleep....psssh. Why get up at the crack of dawn every day for months. Just go out after you stop for breakfast, lean against the truck and shoot a bird. I'm ecstatic that he accomplished what he did. Who shouldn't go the night before, dig a diaphragm call (refered to as a mouth call) out of the bottom of the clearance box out of the package and take to the cashier and she say, I don't know. Give me a dollar for it. Anyone that says the turkey came in "all fluffed up" deserves a bird. Not in full strut. All fluffed up. ALL FLUFFED UP. Yeah. So stoked for my buddy. Couldn't be happier. Golf? Anyone have any tips on taking up golf? P.S. I started a guiding business. Pm duff if you are interested for the name to search rates.

Tips on golf. Browning Citori O/U, 1 1/4 oz #6's going 1330 fps will send the ball a ways down the fairway. Don't worry about the divot, there won't be enough laying on the grass to put back. For putting, drop down to 1 1/8 oz #8's or 9's at 1150 fps. For a short putt, you can reload down to 3/4 oz @ 1150 fps.
