I have the 800gram and The 2400gram versions and either one with wool socks is plenty warm. my feet haven’t been cold any time this season or last. It’s just so hard to find boots when your feet are as wide as they are long, and these ones are great.

Socks I began using are 'darn tough wool
Lifetime warranty with a cost to match but they are really good. Warm and stay in place.
Couple folks I know who have hiked the AT swore by them. You can find them on Amazon or local boot shops.

Light weight polypropylene liners, light weight wool and LaCrosse Alpha Burley Pros that are two sizes over my shoe size. Air is the best insulator. You don’t want your foot and socks filing up the entire boot. If you can’t wiggle your ties freely it’s too tight I can go down to 20 degrees with that. Temps below that? Out comes the boot blankets…

I have wide feet and struggle to find comfortable shoes. I typically buy Irish Setter work & cowboy boots, Meindl hiking boots, and Salomon or OnCloud running shoes. If I buy a pair that I find particularly comfortable, I'll buy another pair and put them on the shelf.
I've had Under Armour rubber boots for years. The absolute best money that I have ever spent on hunting gear was a pair of Thermocell heated insoles. I would wear non-insulate boots and wait until a hint of cold set in. Turn the insoles on medium and be good for the rest of the sit. The insole batteries crapped out and I could not find replacements. Maybe I was the exception for customer satisfaction? I can't even find new ones.
Darn Tough socks are great. I think Smartwool is the only other sock brand that I own.

I had several pairs of Hoka. I know they make wide. Expensive but man they are like walking on a cloud

When I first started working mine construction, I was 20 years old. About this time of year I was complaining to my Dad about cold, wet feet. He said "get some 2 buckle overshoes", obviously, I didn't think he knew what he was talking about. Well, Father knows best, same thing as the acrtic shields. There's is NOTHING warmer than overshoes.

Wide would be good. Do they have any for guys with big calves? I've tried a few brands and they are too tight. I have the same problem. if I tuck my pant legs inside the boots they are so tight my calves hurt after a while.
