Turkish all around but no shots. Had 1 doe slide behind me. I'm glad you escaped the Turkish invasion! Without a single shot being fired too! This is the first year in awhile that I hadn't on purchased a fall turkey tag. My luck, I'll get a shot opportunity. Lol! Turkish deer don't mess around. Makes for an exciting day

Well good luck to all this morning in the woods. The only deer I'm going to be able to see today is a John Deere excavator and a John Deere backhoe, since my supervisor requested that I work today. I've got some stern choice words for him, but I need the hours as well

Thankfully they are nice enough to come in during their days off. I am such a wimp when it comes to the dentist...white knuckles every time. Good luck to all......yesterday morning had a 3 and 6 point nudging a doe.....its about that time!!!

Sat behind the house this morning, because couldn’t hunt for too long. Have to help my daughter get ready for a party she’s hosting at our house. The things we do for our kids. Well at 7:40 had a doe come in behind me and she looked a little sickly, so after she got a little nervous due to being directly down wind she stiff legged to about twelve yards and I gave her a little broadhead infusion for her illness. Watched her plow and crash about 40 yards away. She’s a smaller doe, but still dressed out at 86.6 pounds which was more than I expected. And no she’s not really sick.

I found that the worse thing about a robot canal was a sore jaw from the spacer being in place while he worked on me. The price I pay for chewing on popcorn kernals.

I think I'm going to go out for the second time this season, first time in 2 weeks. I've been hauling firewood a lot lately and I'm seeing several fresh scrapes.

Set up in a blind again with my youngest watching a cut corn field. Warm and windy, but only evening we can hunt for a few days so we are trying it.

Just made a circuitous drive through the main farm I hunt doing a ladder stand check. All are intact and secure. I'll probably start hunting next weekend.

Well that's bigger than what my supervisor had given to him. That doe only field dressed 78.9 pounds, but the story is the neighbors granddaughter shot it and it's her first deer for a 6 yr old. No judgment on my end, but should be some very tender meat lol. On another note, congrats for getting on the board

I plan on being out in the morning. I'm not sure why, but my first deer is always the hardest to harvest. Kinda like the old saying, " The wheels turn slow, but they DO turn." Not a lot of expectations but it's like playing the Lottery, "Can't win if you don't play".

Well I'm up, but not roaring to go. Joints ache, head aches, but might just be a sign that either I need to go back to bed or it's going to be a good morning. Good luck and be safe this morning in the woods

Doe down baby. 40 yard shot and she dropped where she stood. Now the real work begins, dragging her to the car lol

Coyote went the through behind me. No shots. Now turkey’s in the field behind me. One small buck worked a scrape in front of me so far.
