Wind sucks just saw a giant yote big dom male I've saw 2 coyotes so far this morning. I should have shot one of them. Any other time I would have. I kinda broke my own rule by not shooting it. Although I have no issues shoot coyotes and messing up my own hunts, I just didn't want to mess up my nephew's hunt. I figured after the first week of gun season, deer may be a little skittish. We've saw one half rack buck so far.

It feels great to be out again! We've heard a couple distant shots so far. Feels like a great morning! Hey, what did the doc say about your ticker when you went in the other week? Ugh ...not sure exactly how to begin that discussion. However, my actual heart seems to be good. My bad cholesterol is just a couple points high. Everything else came back good. But, with the continued issues, coupled with some other symptoms, she feels that I have an anxiety disorder. Possibly caused by some PTSD. I go to see a different kind of doctor next week.

In the past, I went through a short period where I was having similar symptoms to what you described. Got checked out, had all the tests done. Everything came back good. Finally was able to mentally take a look at the overall view of my situation… I was subconsciously stressing about things rather than dealing with them properly. I was only 27 years old at the time. Lol. My wife used to work with a women who temporarily went completely blind for about 32 hours and come to find out, it was all from stress. There’s a reason why the Bible says 365 different times: “do not worry.” That, however, can be a difficult thing to do. “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7 I really had to meditate on this verse and allow my savior to be Lord over my worries. Took a while but I have not been struggling but a fraction of what I used to with stress and anxiety. Saying all this to hopefully encourage you! 😊

Got down at 9. Explored the rest of the farm. Bumped a few and observed a few off in the distance. Found a few new places to sit.
Warmed up decently during that walk!

Ended up seeing 11 does and 4 bucks. All at once. The neighbors decided to do a deer drive. I think the deer are probably over to Newton County by now. Lol!
One of the bucks was a nice one.
Done for the day. Try again tomorrow afternoon maybe.

Me and my oldest daughter still need to get her a deer, preferably a doe or nice buck, before she goes back to school. Sat yesterday morning, only saw 1 doe after seeing dozens opening weekend. Gonna try again here in a couple hours. Hope to be able to send pics.

Got rid of the stress causing problem (ex wife) and haven't had any issues since then. I agree 1,000%, stress can do weird things. I'm glad to hear that is isn't anything life threatening.

With it coming up upon the full moon, I have seen more deer movement (when it's a full moon) between 10am and 2pm than first/last light. ESPECIALLY when the major game movement times (solunar table) corresponds to those mid-day times.

My buddies deer. Taken opening morning. Took a while to get a picture and I am slow at posting it. He is restricted to ground blinds because he can not climb any more. Hope I am still doing that good at 78. Said it weighed 145 lbs

Good luck to all of you out there today! Not hunting, haven't gotten my new deer license yet (filled my bundle) and had to butcher Monday's doe. Finally got sent a pic of the big 7 pt that was taken day before yesterday at our friends' place where I took the button buck. It's definitely the buck I saw a few weeks back while squirrel hunting.

I just got setup in a ground blind overlooking a cut cornfield. Been lots of deer coming out in the evening. Not many bucks though. Did spook 3 yearlings right next to the blind on the way in so not sure how that'll change things.

Not sure about that, but most of the deer movement I have seen is almost never at first light and generally just before last light. I see most deer between 8:30 and 10:30 in the morning and within 45 minutes of the end of shooting light in the evening. But then I rarely sit all day or for a noon hunt.
