The musts 12 gage 3 inch chamber Semiautomatic Not 11-87 or mossberg or stoeger Screw in chokes
The likes Wood Blued metal Light recoil
Price is not a huge issue, it can be pretty or it can be utility. Use it for doves, ducks, clays
Which guns to look at? Looking for place to look and feel a few of them.

Another vote for the BENELLI Super Black Eagle 3 1/2" magnum, 28" barrel. You can get it with a Walnut Stock.

If it was me, decide on a budget. Beretta / Benelli's cost 900.00 $. Both are total different operations. beretta are gas operated where as benlli are recoil operated. If you live close or within a short drive of Indiana Gun Club, any used semi auto shotgun, you can take out and shoot. I think. If you want something current manufacture for the money Beretta A300. If you want something older, then I would buy a Remington 1100 Mag. if you decide on a Benelli, be forewarned. Their trigger pull is like 6 lbs. I just sent my triggergroup off ( on a brand new Benelli SB3 ) to have it converted to match style trigger. I am used to mechanical triggers in my over n under shotguns.

Who'd you send the trigger group to? I may be dating myself, but Allen Timney himself matched the trigger weight on my Browning Citori to my Nikko Golden Eagle that he had done previously. I went to his house with a shooting buddy to have Allen install a relaese trigger in my buddies BT-99. I have no idea what he did, but ever since then the trigger on the Citori has been a mechanical trigger, NOT recoil operated.

My old Remington 11-87 had performed flawlessly, but since it's off your list I'd look at Beretta or Benelli.

My old Remington 11-87 had performed flawlessly, but since it's off your list I'd look at Beretta or Benelli. I have a newer 11-87 and it has had multiple issues each year. It is less than 10 yrs old and purchased from rural king or dunhams. Pretty sure the quality has suffered. I have a line on a browning Maxum and someone else who wants me to look at a benelli montefeltro. Still looking for options though. Both look like nice guns.

If show tell me where and I will buy one. Best I have seen it more like $1,500 to $2,000.

It’s a shame that Remington ‘s quality went to pot
The older 1100s and 11-87s were great guns

For the past 5 years or better, My Weatherby Element Deluxe in 12 ga. has been the ticket for me. I've probably put 500+ rounds through her on clays. Otherwise, I mainly used it for waterfowl and pheasant. I haven't had a failure of any sort!
