Anyone have any info on the Camp Atterbury deer draws? I don't think they are ran by the DNR anymore?

Anyone have any info on the Camp Atterbury deer draws? I don't think they are ran by the DNR anymore? Military side bow draw is up. Gun will be posted later. Have to take 2 online briefs. Cost $2 to enter draw each and cross your fingers. I got drawn for state gun last year but not commanders hunt. Enter at atterbury.isportsman.net. Bow is October 1st through 31st I believe. Two gun draws each 2 days.

I signed up for the IPLA draw hunt. There is only 1 property in my county participating. I'm really hoping to get drawn and see how this works.

Anybody ever do the archery only state park hunts? I was thinking about changing things up a little and maybe giving it a try. I only have hunter education, I believe bow hunter education is mandatory?

I only have hunter education, I believe bow hunter education is mandatory? They don’t use any of that criteria anymore. I have all the certifications and still don’t get drawn sometimes. It’s a crap show as most things the government gets involved with is!! Just apply because your odds are just as good as anyone else’s!!

For the state park hunts in November (other than Clifty Falls) they are firearms only. The information says:
"You must obtain a valid license to take a deer in Indiana prior to applying (this includes any resident deer license, lifetime comprehensive hunting licenses, and lifetime comprehensive hunting and fishing combination licenses)."
So, what which resident deer license do you need? There are 6 different deer licenses to choose from on the DNR page. I assume since its "firearms" your $39 resident archery license won't work. There is no State Park license, only Military/Refuge and Deer reduction zone.

I believe they do the pheasant draw a little later. I'm not sure when or why but if I remember right it'll be in a couple of weeks.

Anyone ever done chain o lakes hunts? How was it? GREAT, back in the day... I'v never done park hunts anyone care to explain how they are normally structured mainly speaking about chain o lakes. Is it climbers only? Do they give you the day before and after for hang on stands. I know the state regulations from hunting public. Thanks

Am I safe to assume I can apply me and my buddies for both early and late?
It says "Only one registration per license holder per hunt is permitted"
I take that early and late are different hunts am I correct?
