After making the comment awhile ago about enjoying some good health and exercise, I jinxed myself. Lol.
While doing deadlifts in the gym, I developed a sore back again. The chiropractor got me straightened out right away and said no more of those big compound lifts that put stress on everything. Ok, roger that. Around same time, got some pain in my hip. More than normal, and becoming dull ache. About 2 weeks into it, we went down to WV for our visit. My hip starting hurting to the point I couldnt pick my leg up into the truck without literally lifting with my hands, and eventually couldnt even raise it to work the gas pedal without 10k% agonizing pain. Walking in the mountains and even their yard was next to impossible. I did have pain meds on hand for my back, so was able to cut the pain some, but only about 30%. As long as I stayed stationary, it was ok. Mornings were best, but gets worse all day.
Got into regular doc yesterday, and got a bunch of manipulation tests and xrays. Luckily nothing torn, cracked, damaged, etc. Likely ligament strain and swelling in the joint. Do have osteoarthritis starting, but no other signs of problems.
Oh what a joy getting older and suffering the effects of a hard life. Word to the wise, take care of yourself!!!
Getting some relief now with a steroid and anti inflammatory and pain management until it settles down.

Hopefully it won’t take long and you’ll be good to go again. At least it wasn’t anything major.

Good luck with that, not sure how old you are but I'm 46 and starting to feel my age. I'm sure it gets worse from here but it's no fun getting old unless you have fun getting old!

Yeah, sounds like it will be manageable.
I've had some knee pains over the years, and sometimes it took months to straighten out on it's own. One of the sev times, I'm sure I wont be so lucky.
Sounds like the new job is ramping me up to the #2 position in our shop. Basically what I am now, but more goodies with less floor time and more in charge time. That will come happily to get off the concrete floor so much.

Sports in school and years of wearing a duty belt and ground hadn't helped .

I have a metal hip, both knees have had meniscus surgery and will need replaced (one is already at that point), my vertebrae right on top my pelvis has been broken and sits off angle, I have 2 heart stints, and last week I got surprised with gallbladder removal. We are a lot like cars. Our number age doesn't have a lot to do with the milage or how hard the miles are. Take care of and go easy on what you can

I'm not in a competing mood regarding this. I've never been under the knife, except for a couple dental surgeries, and hope to keep it that way as long as possible. I wish you well.

I dislocated this same hip in gym class 35yrs ago and wondered if anything would become of it later. Same here, a history of hard work definately contributes to the ailments.

Finally winning something is not nearly as exciting as I was expecting.

So, how's the healing process coming along? Was doing good, but got some comeback pain now that is almost unbearable at times. I am officially on the down and low in any activity outside work. I need to get better quick as I have a DOT physical required for the new job and wouldnt fair too well at the moment hobbling like a gimp. R&R ahead.
