Oh?  Well. I need to look into this. He’s been very frequent that last week. I don’t the competition and the birds/deer don’t either. I believe that’s true open year round on private or if you have landowners permission I believe it’s open all year also Yep, blast away. |

Well just about every bird that's indigenous to Indiana was carrying on all morning except for turkeys.
Cool damp calm morning.
Had 2 deer walk up to my decoys and that was it.

Think same hen from this morning came through about 5 yards. She was alone. Just not seeming to want to hit the fields much today

A hen came past our setup, but that was it. Gonna go out for some mushrooms in a bit I think.

So far this year I have not seen a bird, not even a hen, 2 weeks ago the birds were in my two areas I hunt like crazy, now nothing. I had a 20 year turkey streak going and broke it last year without getting a bird. I think I may have lost my turkey Mojo. I have the next 8 days off so hopefully a blind one walks past me. I have so much I need to get done though that it is hard to spend so much time in the turkey woods.

As you know all too well....it can change in a heartbeat. I am getting frustrated but I'm gonna keep going back....was one of my reasons that pushed me to retiring...the ability to hunt and not have to worry about fires when I got back to work. I know the birds are here just gotta have a little luck too. Depending on the weather tomorrow AM I may go for the ambush. Here is Jackson County, the sun is out but my buddy in Owen County told me it was pouring. Parker, I'll bet you score on one of those days!
Had two deer in my decoys this AM blowing like crazy and I could not get em to leave....even stuck my head out of the blind and waved my hat....just looked at me. Heck in deer season, you blink in a tree stand and woosh, they are in the next county.

No rain here and don't believe they are calling for any in Franklin co. Have my doubts but in blind where I missed my bird. Have things to do today and it's right by the house. Maybe I'll get lucky. Good luck everyone
