Still in back woods hear them sound off
Thinking about trying to sneak in on them but I’d hate to push them out of here they got two hens they could care less about my calls

Gobbling shut off for us. Heard 5 shots so far.
Had 6 deer at 10yd. They worked around for awile, and eventually started blowing, then the skurries started barking. 😡

A few distant gobbles.
Could t take it anymore.
I put ALL my dekes out.
I got a flock.
We’ll see what goes.

Dead silent here for a little while now. Early on it sounded like the gobbles were moving away from where I'm at. Can't decide if I want to hang tight and see what happens in this field or make a move towards the earlier gobbling.

They worked around for awile, and eventually started blowing, then the skurries started barking. 😡 They shut up on me also never heard them sound like they were moving gobbling seem to stay the same area maybe the hens gave in IDK going to stay another hour see what happens if nothing going to do stuff around the house hoping to get out tonight again but it sounds like someone else made plans for me If not back at it tomorrow AM |

I'm sitting at home. I haven't turkey hunted for probably a decade now. I have a lifetime hunting license and a brand new turkey shotgun that has been sitting in the safe probably 10 years, so I really have no excuse other than laziness. Lol! Got to love public land, Tom is hammering away and a couple mushroom hunters walk in. I whistled at them and stood up, they decided they don’t care and they’re even talking. Surprised the Tom is still gobbling

We’re dead at my place but I think I know why.
There’s a coyote been running around all morning.
Makes me want to do things though I know I shouldn’t.

I’ve had a hen around me all morning. The tom is down over the hill gobbling and won’t leave that spot! If she wasn’t right here in front of me I would make a move on him. I’ll be patient and see what happens….

Same properties the 1pm eastern to end turkey hunting applies to. |

Well, daughter wanted to sleep in today. Just as well, the turkeys have been hanging out in the fields in the mornings anyway.
We're about to head out now and hunt through midday. I think we actually have a better chance now than first thing in the AM.

I believe that’s true open year round on private or if you have landowners permission I believe it’s open all year also |
