I seen 8 Tom's fanned out on my ride home this morning. So there was nothing wrong with my setup, just no birds around. Luke and I will be trying again tomorrow. Looking forward to photos |

Sitting in my blind mostly just watching for tomorrow hopefully watching for one to roost in the front woods
Last couple days been slow here few hens but no toms last week I had toms jakes hens every night in my plot
I know they tore up a bunch of dirt around me maybe that changed the daily routine maybe the hens are all ready sitting on nest either way I’ll be out tomorrow looking for a love sick bird

Heard 2 distant gobbles this morning at first light. Pretty quiet for a while then a closer gobble behind me. Turned around and saw 4-5 birds on the neighboring property with a creek between us. In typical turkey fashion nothing I could do would turn em. They ended up about 200 yards away in the neighboring field. Gave up on them at 11.

Never got a nap yesterday like planned, but I survived nonetheless. As long as you keep busy, who needs sleep? HA.
So we are off to the races now. Luke is behind the trigger first. See you in the blind.

Couple gobbling for us. Nothing shockingly close, but in the area. The woods is alive and birds are singing LOUD around us. Heck of a nice start. Go big Luke!

The six amigos are back. I got out of my blind to try to scare them but they are still in the field. Really tired of these guys.

Had them at three yards unfortunately they were on the back side of the blind they came right up the path I thought they would and turned right instead of left they went up towards the barn lot of times they will come back to the clover let’s hope

Gobbling on 3 sides of us now. Still nothing close, but we are getting an earful.

Set up on public here at Brookville where buddy killed his bird. Just had hen go past. No gobbling though. Pretty quiet so far

Just had a nice 15 minute conversation with a hen directlyin front of me. I tried to convince her to stay and wait for the fellas but apparently she has other plans lol.

Got two nice doe eating in front of me wishing it was deer season I’d be tagged out they know something is up they keep looking at me stomping now and then but go right back to eating.
Turkeys went to the back woods heard them sound off I’ve got a big open area it also has some clover and natural grass in it
Sit and wait for a few hours maybe they will come back up

Set up a fourth different way for day number four of hunting these same birds off the roost. Watched two fly down and go to the neighbors field once again. Another gobbler roosted a lot farther back than he has been. He was the only one gobbling, but wasn’t near the property I’m hunting. Already gave up on them and sitting in a blind in a spot I’ve not hunted yet.
