16,555 this morning. Might be a few stragglers come in as we have 48 hours to check in turkeys just like we do with deer

I second the WOW! My county of Perry killed 501 birds, the previous record ws 338. Very impressive. I saw alot of out of state hunters though.

Looks like 16,647 is it! Best season ever! They had a lot of cicadas to munch on as poults a couple of years ago.

I agree the cicadas and easier winters helped a lot. I also see a large grassroots movement getting back to nature.
