Homemade deer meat pizza. I Used 2 pie crusts on top of each other baked them for about 25 mins at 350 degrees in a greased cast iron skillet. Fried up 1 pound of ground deer with several Italian seasonings added. When the pie crusts were lightly browned I did the following: Smeared tomato paste and some pesto on the crusts then buried them in sliced cherry tomatoes, slice green table onions, fresh mushrooms, the pre fried deer meat and an Italian cheese blend. I put the pizza back in the oven and baked it for 25 mins at 400 degrees until it smells good and looks good. I have always made pizza with sausage butttttt... not anymore. My wife seconds this statement.

I use a thick tomato paste and there is plenty there it's just buried under all the extras. Deadeer: with just the wife and I here we have learned to cook smaller.

Looks good sir but why two crust am I missing something or just a thicker crust These are real thin to start with, using two makes for a nice crust and because they come 2 in a box. Using one would be to thin.

Gonna have to come up with something off the wall, since we both seem to have a diversified menu. Maybe a seafood/shrimp combo or something. We will figure something up.
