Beautiful! I haven't found any in all, and I'm looking in all the historically great spots. Last year I was too late and they all went to "seed" already, so none were picked.

I have several hundred of these under my pines, anyone know what they are? I want to say fly agaric (bad spelling). Don't eat them.

Also several hundred of those? Was the inside blue? Did it produce a milk when broken, like a milkweed leaf? If so it may be blue indigo. Hard telling just by looking at a pic. Some good info to help figure out the shrooms 1. Growing on trees or out of the ground 2. Gill structure 3. Spore print...if you take it home 4. Hollow stem or solid or shelf. 5. Does it bruise easy and what color is the bruise 6. Time of the year.

I found a bunch of Hens of the Woods yesterday. Too bad they were about half dehydrated already.

I was just thinking this rain might start some coming up, it’s been so hot and dry here.

I went out yesterday evening to look for dead deer, and some hen of the woods but only found expired hens. Must’ve been the cold snap we had three or four weeks ago but they’ve already been up for a long time.

Are they the ones that glow in the dark? Supposedly. I have never seen it but I never really looked either.
