I just picked up an AR-15 upper receiver in .450 Bushmaster. Why? I had a lower sitting in the safe that was itching for an upper. Anyway, I just got it assembled and fired a couple of shots for a function check. Everything works as advertised and it doesn't look like I have too far to go to get the sights dialed in. I found a couple of boxes of ammo in the 250gr flavor with a muzzle velocity of 2200fps! Not much good past 250 yards, but the majority of my shots available are under 200 yards so this should be fun.

Its a great round. Ive killed a few deer with an AR and a 20" Encore. Super handy, with a lot of pop. Price of store bought ammo will prevent a lot of shooting, but it's very easy to handload for. It uses the most common components on the shelf today. Have fun.

Ordered a new set of dies for the .450 Bushmaster from our friends at Titan Reloading. They weren't cheap, but it will make the ammo more reasonable.
