They are a few around. Hard to come by in my area. I have killed two in all my years of hunting.

I shot a Gadwall years ago, first one that I saw. Then I was in Texas and a friend and I both shot limits of them on a pond on his property.

We get a ton of gadwall down in the southern part of the state. Cool birds and they eat good too

We get a fare amount of Gadwall up here and not uncommon to shoot a blackduck. Something about Bull Canvas backs is what trips my trigger though.
