I got one, and they are great. It's the shorter barrel, and super handy. It digests any ammo since it's not an auto. I have bb caps, shorts, and quiets that it's perfect for. Since it's a rear notch sight, you have to try different ammo to match the point of aim. Heck of a good gun for the price point.

Nice, well made rather inexpensive pistol. However, if you plan on doing much plinking, I find these cowboy style pistols with the side load and push rod very slow to load / unload -vs- a S&W, Colt or Taurus type revolver where you can flip out and dump the whole cylinder with a single push.

BUT, if you have a kid that wants to shoot, that feature is exactly what is needed so they don't burn up all the ammo in the first 1/2 hour. I took my nephew to the range and let him shoot to his heart's content with a Ruger Single Six. He went through a bulk pack of 500 rounds that day. Still had an ear to ear grin at the end of the day. HE also got to shoot some different pistols that people had, Here he is shooting a .44 Mag. This was 2009.

That's another reason I bought one. With ammo availability today, shooting has to slow down to stay the course long term.
For us, gone are the days of a mag dump.
