Another new cartridge for deer. About duplicates the 35 Rem but at 50,000 PSI. Henry is making the rifles but not much info on them yet. Truth in advertising question?? Where did Remington get the .358 Core-Lokts? ?? www.remington.com/360buckhammer.html

There wouldn't be much need for this cartridge, or the 350 Legend, if not for silly hunting regulations in states like Indiana and Ohio. That said, I got my oldest daughter a CVA single shot in 350 Legend, and I really like shooting that little rifle.
I think the partnership with Henry will help this cartridge quite a bit. I do not know of a lever-action chambered in 350 Legend or 450 Bushmaster.

It’s one thing to promote this as effective to 200+ yards! A whole different game to make that reality. I’m thinking that I’d have to spend a good bit of time on the bench to attain that, with some decent glass! But, marketing did a good job! Got a pretty cool sounding name!

This is comparable to the 357 Maximum, with a little more case length. It could potentially be an awesome cartridge, especially for a handloader. 30-30 brass and 358 dia bullets are/were both easy to come by. I hotrodded the 357max for years and it killed a ton of deer for us. Ive since unloaded all that when hpr got on board.
I dabbled in the 350L recently, but didnt care for the bullet diameter ordeal or lack of room to experiment with the oal constraint of the AR mag length.
I still have my 358 Win that I shorten the neck on to satisfy the public land criteria. It's a real thumper.

I did 24", but 18-20" would be fine. TC Encore platform.
I had the chamber throat cut long to use 200gr ftx seated way out. That gave more case capacity for slower burning powder than normal.
It timed at 2230fps.
