Thawed out more turtle couple nights ago. Deep fried with the Cajun seafood breading along with garlic mashed potatoes and canned sweet corn. Pretty darn good! interesting never deboned one before. How long did you deep fry it? And how tough/chewy was it? I like it tender. Just curious. Cook it like fish, when it floats it is done. Secret to tender, I think, is cut into SMALL pieces and pull it when it floats.

Made a pot of chili myself last night. Deer, hamburger, and cajun andouille sausage. Came out, WOW!

Got some wings, a thick juicy ribeye, and apple sausage on Big Z right now for dinner. We've been contemplating on food for Superbowl Sunday. Kicked around pulled pork, wings, steaks, Papa Charlie's Italian beef, King Gyros, or last but not least, Golden Coral. Still havent decided what we want yet.

Been 10 yrs since I have been to one of those places. The one in Anderson used to have awesome BBQ chicken too. It was one of the meals my wife craved while pregnant. That has been nearly 17 yrs ago.

Got four New York strips out for dinner tomorrow. I’ll probably do the usual and make up some eggs to go with mine. Now I want more wings even though I had some Thursday night. I’m gonna get some out now to make tomorrow as well.

Definately our go to place when eating out. A lot of bang for your buck. It's always way more packed than McD, Taco B, or anybody else could dream of. It's easy for me to eat there too, as they dont give any static about selling just hamburger or chicken patties naked. Really great choice of salads too. Same one in South Bend on west side since 87 or so. We ate there for lunch when we were doing our Hunter Ed course about 35 yrs ago.

MuzzleLoader 65 rolls is pretty impressive and sounds delicious. We got a commercial grade equipment. Run batches of 25# plus in a mixer and stuffer. LEM 1 hpr grinder. Started at 9am. Done by 130p. Then of course clean up. 15 pounds deer. 5 pounds beef. 5 pounds pork. 3 pounds cheese. Right equipment makes it easy work.

King Gyros it was! Italian beef, marinara sauce, hot giardiniera peppers, and dipped in Au Jus. Nothing better!

Had King Gyros last night, a family favorite for us. You’re right, can’t beat the bang for the buck. They run a tight ship too, no messing around. Even 8 cars deep still in and gone less than 10 minutes.

Valentines Day meal didn't last long enough for pictures. Lol.
I made the wife a piece of filet mignon wrapped in bacon, and I got a 2.3# ribeye. Cooked on Big Z until almost done, then a couple flips in hot cast iron with bacon grease. Added a few brussels sprout cut in half and sauteed. Holy moly!!! Couple happy kids now. 😉

She never asks for anything or requires any kind of maintenance. She deserves a lot more than she gets, but I try to do my best at showing my love and appreciation for her.

And my grandson comes through with another great meal. Since he was out of school today he thawed out a pork loin and cut some center chops. Grilled them over thick layers of bacon. Then he made gravy from the drippings and came up with some sort of recipe for cream cheese mashed taters. Added some green beans and we had us a heck of a President's Day meal tonight!
