Just what we needed to see. How ridiculous, but now they can call themselves heroes for not letting a bunch of government workers go without pay during the holidays. They saved the day. Bunch of crap. At least I don’t have to worry about not getting paid for another year.

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm about as conservative as they come. That being said, I have been saying for years that if the truth actually came out (ain't gonna happen) 90+% of ALL politicians would be in Federal prison.

Welder, I disagree. More like 95%.
Here is my beef. The government is facing a fiscal crisis. So, rather than crack down on
wealthy tax cheats with increased IRS enforcement that would raise hundreds of billions, some are proposing to cut Social Security which would really hurt seniors and the poor.
That's it, let the rich skate and take it out of the poor folks pockets.

Think the IRS plan is to harass the working middle class. Rich Republicans already get routinely audited. You have to remember to deconstruct the economy the middle class has to go so that leaves a ruling and peasant class. I'm going to have to agree with welder, though they are making strides and we are in trouble.

I made this observation in a family discussion recently.
Most people respond to financial stress by trying to cut spending and raise income.
The government responds to financial stress by raising spending and cutting income.
Duh!

It is a crazy world. When the govt increases spending that intern increases tax revenue...which intern funds the govt. our whole economy relies on the treasury pumping out dollar bills. Just like most other economies in this world. We will all be millionairs soon but the super rich will be worth trillions
