Took this guy a week and a half ago. We actually had another Blackie get up out of range in front of us.

Those are pretty birds! The picture didn't show for me, but I know what you are talking about. I used to train my Springer Spaniels to run in field trials and we went through a LOT of birds and I saw even more birds at the trials.

I don't know why my photos only show for a couple days and then disappear. Backstory for the pheasant. The Ringneck pheasant came from Asia and was released into the wild accidentally. www.iowadnr.gov/portals/idnr/uploads/Hunting/history_pheasant.pdfmy understanding of the black mutant is that it's a genetic mutation. the Black/Blue above the ring actually makes it way all the way down or at least past the ring.
