Well looking to upgrade my bow that’s 7 years old and really don’t want to cause it’s very accurate. But I need something a little more compact for the blind that my son and I share. I am looking at the Centerpoint wrath 430 or Barnett TS 380. I know there are a lot of bows out there higher end than either one of these two. However for the setups we hunt the farthest shot might be 35 yards and that’s stretching it. So I am looking for something compact yet accurate and fast for the few years I have left to share the blind with my son before he wants to start hunting on his own. Any input or other recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks and stay safe.

I'd say your looking in the right direction. Center points have a good following. But if you are a typical hunter that only shoots a few times to sight in and confirm zero, that range of bows seem like a solid choice. I know several guys shooting them, and really havent heard any complaints. Our local Rural King and Dunhams carry them. Good luck.

Me and a friend at work each bought a PSE Fang 4 or 5 years ago. We both really like them and have killed a lot of deer with them. They are compact in size. If mine broke today, I'd go buy another one.

I have a Heat 415 Centerpoint and a Mission XB320 which cost twice as much as the Centerpoint. I use the Centerpoint and the Mission is my backup. I haven't had any problems with either of them. The Mission has a lifetime warranty. I'm not sure about the Centerpoint. Both are accurate out to 50 yards and more, but 50 is my limit.

One word of advise, if you buy a faster crossbow you will probably have to buy a better target. The target I had for my Stryker 380 would bury my bolts (ruined the fletching) when I upgraded to a Tenpoint Siege RS410. I ended up buying a Spyderweb target. I know there expensive but if you want a compact crossbow, I highly recommend Tenpoint. Compact, reverse draw, bullpup design. I switched to saddle hunting this year and the compactness of the Siege has worked great!
