I recently read an article about hunting with a bow that shoots TOO fast. Personally, I’m shooting 298 fps and not seeing the issue. How fast do you shoot? Every experienced any flight issues with Broadhead?

Mine is right at 280 fps. It's a 2012 Martin set at 65# and 29" DL. I always spin-tune my broadheads to the shaft and they fly the same as field points. I did dig out an old bent head from way back thinking that I would use it on a yard rabbit. Only shot I took with it resulted in the arrow making a very visible corkscrew through the air missing the flower-eating bunny. I also spin-tune fixed-blade broadheads for the crossbow that shoots over 300 fps and get perfect flight with those too.
A less than perfectly tuned arrow will only shoot worse the faster it is pushed.

I don't use a traditional bow, but do use a crossbow that shoots 340fps. I've been told the troubles begin when you start getting up around and over 400fps. The trouble is mainly with fixed broadheads. They tend to want to "plane" if pushed too fast. Switch to mechanical broadheads and the problem goes away.

309 Mathews Z7 70 lbs 30” draw Easton 3-49 ACC arows I have a Mathews Z7 extreme, 29” 71lbs. I love it. Being able to draw in my blind without having to open the windows all the way is amazing.
