Well, since I broke my crappie rod a few weeks back I decided to get a new one. A buddy of mine swears by the Lews brand so I picked one up at my local Walmart. I got the Lews LZR30. It has 10 bearings and a 6.2:1 gear ratio. $35. I placed it on a new Abu Garcia 5'6" Vigilante in light action. $42. They both have a red and black color scheme.
I really like Abu Garcia reels. But, they didn't have anything in the size I wanted for crappie. I saw the Lews and thought, "What the heck".

Might have to try one myself. Its been a while since I purchased a reel
