It was 56deg Mon night. We had the windows open and a fan pulling air thru the house. Absolutely wonderful. Hitting the sack now, at 2:30am Tuesday night/Wed morning, and its 67deg and obvious increase in humidity. Same situation in the house and already feeling yucky. 😡 Come on fall...

4.5" in the gauge 2 days ago and 2.5" in it last night. Already had more rain this morning that just quit. We were already in the "no drought" zone per the maps. Crops looking dang good as long as the fields drain off well!

Not enough rain in the gauge to even measure, the concrete here was wet this morning though.

Yesterday 0.6 and day before 0.2 so total around 0.8. They forecasted 3-5 inches. Way off again. Both Tuesday and Wednesday were sunny afternoon/evening days. Sunny and hot today. They say rain tonight.

Live about 25 miles SE of Lafayette.. We've had just over an inch over the month of July, and no more than that in June... Beans quit growing, lawns are full of brown patches. Each time rain moves toward us it dissapates before it gets here.

Wednesday night was 80% chance of rain with flash flood watch. I had 2/10.
Last (Thursday) night was 90% chance with thunderstorm and flood watches. Local weather folks warned of "torrential downpours." Again, I had 2/10 and that was all before midnight.
As of yesterday evening's new, this morning was 70% chance of rain until 8:00 am. As of 5:30 am there is 2% chance.

My wife has some kin folk wrapped up in the mess in Breathitt county, Jackson, KY. We were just there on Memorial weekend. One aunt cant get anywhere near home to see if they even have a house left to go back to. Another uncle hasnt been heard from, but they live on higher ground so hopefully not affected. What a shame and mess. People stranded on their roof waiting to be rescued. Wish I could help, but saying a lot of roads completely washed away. Most places there is only one road, so only one way in and out. The only hope is that those people are tough! Please keep them in your thoughts. Sad times.

I saw a feature story on the KY flooding this morning. The reporter was interviewing a state official and he said that what makes this situation particularly devastating is the velocity of the water coming down from the hills and mountains. Unlike what is normally experienced when a body of water rises and then sits for a while, the flood waters there are generated from water rapidly flowing down steep grades and quickly overwhelming ditches, creeks, etc. Then the water sits.

I’ve been to that area on Church mission trips. Lots of deep and narrow gorges. I can see how water would come rushing down through there.
I saw one video where a wheelchair ramp floated by. That reminded me that we built a lot of wheelchair ramps over there.
Prayers for alll involved there…

Not a drop.
A customer in Newton Illinois said they've had between 6" and 10" in the last 24 hours.
