Radar loop showing quite a storm blowing up in a couple hours for us in the NW. We had 1.7" hit over night, and then .4" more today. Quite a few branches and some trees uprooted from the soft soil in our area. SAME HERE we had a dead tree finally go down with the heavy rain. This morning it rained very hard in Valparaiso with power outages and flooding.

We are working parking at the Johnson county fair today and it absolutely poured for a while. We got soaked and so did a lot of the stuff in our tent. Rain, thunder and all. Then of course it got super hot and humid and been pretty miserable since then. Been here since noon, so come on 10:00

Quite a few branches and some trees uprooted from the soft soil in our area. Most of that missed Plymouth, while Grovertown got a hair more than you did. Plymouth had 3/8" but it came down so hard I couldn't see 200 yds.

We got another 1/2" and some leaves down. I went to bed when they popped a t-storm warning, and the radar looked wicked. Needless to say, I never heard a thing. Out like a light. 😇

We got another big rain yesterday afternoon. Almost an inch. The ground to soaked like late winter-spring time. I think this is storm #5 that that shows up every couple days. They're calling for more the next two days. Maybe a we will get a good late summer/fall flow this year. Since 2018 there be no fall flow. I little a couple times. It seems mother nature is running a month earlier this year. Like fast time that the Bible states.

We came thru all that mess unscathed. The wind picked up and good rain at the start, but nothing crazy. Nary a leaf down, and only a half inch in the gauge. We are in need of a dry, boring stretch of weather at this point.

Only 1/4" rain from last night, but I never had wind like that. The front door of the house was creaking, the windows were actually whistling with the air coming around the seals. This morning the TV tower is no longer straight up, but nothing looks bent on it - like it moved in the ground.
Last night they said there were tornadoes sighted at both Midway and O'Hare airports.

Well finally got power restored after it went out at 1:00am. Lots of tree limbs down. Glad you got back on line. That was some of the craziest radar returns and widespread tornado warnings I remember. Very broad warning boxes issued. Looks like just south of me got in on the worst winds. We were in the area the meteorologist said was a higher possible tornado risk, where the wind sheared off the main line and could rotate easier than the straight line wind field. Luckily we had little action to speak of. Glad that nasty humidity pushed out, that was a bit much.

Plymouth was out of power for 6 hours. Grovertown was out from 11pm until 1pm, then again from 4pm until about 5 or 6 pm.

Just got a good storm down here. Lots of wind with a small tornado spotted by radar by Chandler.
Lost power just as it started about an hour or so ago

My elementary school lost a wall in the old gym last night. It is about 2 miles from my parents house. They never heard or realized a tornado was in the area. Jackson township elementary near Perkinsville, IN

I drove up I-57 this evening. I was just ahead of the storm that went through Newton, Illinois. It was magenta on my radar. It looked ugly. The truck got rained on, but not enough to get the concrete wet, then I was North of it.
