Lots of small branches down on ride home. Ton of standing water in the streets in town and in the fields by home. Didnt see any dark homes, so no major problems near us at least.

We have a family in our church that lives near the Whiteland fire station.
Attempts to reach them have been futile.
My good friend is a Johnson county duty! Heading down with him shortly to investigate.

Wynne, Arkansas took a direct hit from a tornado yesterday afternoon, about 3 hours after the high school let out. My friend lives about 1,800 feet due South of the high school, I can't get in touch with them - the phone goes right to voice mail, it doesn't even ring. They DO have a tornado shelter below ground, I've combed through the videos on the internet and cannot see their house the area around their house, but that doesn't mean anything. So far the news is saying 4 people dead. School let out 3 hours before it hit.

The town of Sullivan suffered heavy damage last night. Several houses destroyed and some reports of fatalities.

I just got a text from them. They are OK, the house is OK. Tornado missed them by 2 streets. No electricity. The high school is destroyed, their church is gone. There is a little shop down the street, nothing left but the slab.

McCormicks Creek SP was hit as well. Being in a camper would have been a wild ride. Thankfully it was reported - no injuries.

Prayers for all some bad stuff last night not really much better today wind has got to be 25 mph and up to 45 50
Phones been going off all day with wind and flood warnings

 Got by pretty much unscaved. Had a flower pot smashed and a fishing pole broke along with this tree down Got a 36 in bar for the 048 last fall. Guess I get to see how well it works. |

Still helping down here in Whiteland.
Not letting others help into the community so far.
Traffic blocked all over.
Actually have 2 families from our church hit hard.
Both houses in bad shape.
Wife and I put up one family with 3 lil ones in hotel til we figure this stuff out.
Other family has immediate family help.
Whiteland is a mess around downtown and near I-65.

Luckily the entire storm split and pretty much missed us altogether. We were on our way to Florida and I was worried when all the power started going out.
