We got 1.5" of rain here today. Little more to come. Good deal. They forecasted 1 inch for SB area, but I bet it was quite short of that. Was a nice lazy rain here. Much needed, as chopping leaves required a shower each time from the dust.

Total for us here north of Rensselaer was 2-7/8". Wow, nice! Our yard is completely blanketed with leaves, and I've already chopped them about 5 times to keep up.

That's one good thing about not having too many trees on my three acres. I have a couple maples inside the fenced in portion and I usually rake them into a pile for my dogs to play in. They have a blast! Then I will use the lawn sweeper to gather them up and burn them in the fire pit. The other leaves in the yard are pretty minimal.

I don't rack my leaves and I have a lot of them from the oaks and maples. By end of winter 90% plus are blown down the hill and ones left I mow up when I cut the grass in spring. I let mother nature do her thing.

Good post Greg. Yes, warm and windy. Not what hunter want! Hopefully, next weeks weather is better for deer daylight movement.

Saying a little lake effect snow for us up in the NW corner. Showing 10-20mph winds from the north and west across the lake. We got stands facing all directions, and a couple blinds out for crappy weather, so we will manage just fine.

Long Johns and snow shovels, the weather for us in NW Indiana for the first week of deer season is cold at night in the low 20's with a chance of accumulating snowfall for several days.
I better put another canister of propane in the shoot house.

I better put another canister of propane in the shoot house. I picked up 4 more bottles today after I dropped my little buddy off at the blind.
