In the past I upgraded a few natural gas processing plants in Eastern Kentucky. The general area from Buckhorn to Blue Diamon Happy Velley to Isom. The area is all-natural gas region. Most of the building are in the valleys and along the roads that follow the creeks. I've seen a lot of rain go screaming down the valleys. The creeks go from a few inches to 20 feet in a minute or two. Something that is hard to imagine. This must have been one major flooding event. In this region the people are great, simple, tough and one big family. I pray for all of them. It's been about 15 years ago when I spent a few years working that area.

Some strong storms rolled through Jasper County earlier. Several utility poles and trees down. Decent small storm passing through now.

Pretty windy yesterday evening, I watched a couple of shingles flapping on the pole barn roof. A customer texted me that he had a couple of trees come down, so I know I'll be running a chainsaw on Thursday. No idea if anything came down here no time to look at the back of the property. Some rain, maybe 1.5" total between the last few days.

In my area September average just under 3". We already had 3.7" and more heavy rain forecasted this weekend. August was our 3rd wettest ever recorded. Not complaining, great year to be a beekeeper.
