When winding down in the evening I've been putting various "news" programs on, and watching with an eye for how the host/hosts approaches things. Lately I have been watching shows on CNN an MSNBC. One thing I have noticed is that they are obsessed with FOX and how fox is not 'real news.' ALso there is a steady undercurrent of painting anything even slightly right of center as totally wacko. Tonight I watched "Field Report with Paola Ramos." The focus was how too many Hispanics are voting Republican, and how incomprehensible that was. (I feel confident in saying that was not my interpretation; it was out in the open) A few things I noticed: .The "Latina" host would completely lose her accent unless she was saying "latino-specific " words. LaTEENa. Paola RRRRRRRRRamos. The difference was highlighted by the guests all having real and consistent accents. It just came off strange. .She spent a long time interviewing a parental rights leader, an intelligent, soft-spoken Hispanic woman. The host was clearly horrified that the woman had spoken with Desantis ( openly ) and insinuated that this was some kind of cabal. Unlike many on the left, she acknowledged that the "don't say gay" bill simply forbade graphic sex ed in grades K-3 ( K-THREE!!) and argued FOR this type of thing to be allowed, and said that not wanting your kids brainwashed is "extremist." .Openly argued for far-left positions, no matter the guest or topic. (Note that the show was not billed as opinion) .When an analyst pointed out that the made-up, genderless term "latinex" was in his words "Pushed on Latinos by white progressives" and had fallen flat, the host seemed disappointed. . During the roundtable segment, the host said simply voting Republican was extremism, and nobody said a word. . suggested that child trafficking doesn't happen. Not any specific, crazy theories involving celebs or lizard people-- just that kids coming over the border are never exploited. Basically that sex trafficking is not real. . A guest said this phrase " ...like this inflation thing Republicans are trying to gin up." Inflation is made up by the GOP. Glad to know my grocery bill is fake news! I'm continually amazed how these shows skewer Fox as biased, and then practically host Democrat rallies for 30 minutes. It is really kind of fascinating. Also, the incredibly naked racism of the idea that anyone non-white MUST vote Democrat. At this point I'd think Democrats would be like, "Alright, let's calm down..." * NOTE* this post mentions race, because the entire show it references is about Latinos voting red. Also, this is the politics section of the forum, so discussing politics is allowed. I wish pointing this out wasn't required, but, alas... **** [/b

You’ve got a stronger stomach than I do!
They are following leftist guidelines in trying to build themselves up by tearing down Fox. It doesn’t work.
I watch Fox. The Five (but can’t stand Geraldo) , Bret Bairer, Watters, and Tucker. I don’t care that much for Hannity. Laura is Ok.

I don't watch MSNBC, FOX or CNN due to the very things you are complaining about.
It's not news. All three of the above networks run a 24 hour cycle of opinions that support a certain political agenda and unless that agenda matches ours, we complain about how it's presenting opinions as facts.
I find all three networks to be a complete and total waste of time...

I think he's an opportunist who goes with whatever flow he needs to, to keep a job...

Folks would say fox leans right and they do, but fox CAN claim a higher percentage of ideological black sheep than the others can. Fox gave Morgan a show; can you see Ted Nugent scoring a CNN gig? Btw in my defense Woody I only do these watch experiments when my hands are busy, usually when cleaning a gun.

There is not a network that doesn't spin their reporting.

The problem I see that very few admit is that, as you say, all networks spin their reporting--but only one side lays claim to being legit news, or "mainstream." They even have their opponents using the term. I see that as a problem.

I watch BBC anymore. Fox, MSNBC etc. are having a "that's nothing! Hold my beer and watch this" contest when it comes to slanted reporting.
