Really has grown this spring. Had my forest select cut last year and the briar and vegetation has taken over where the sun can get in now. Planted all the logging roads with red clover. Planted two small quarter acre spots in sunflower, now just waiting on the rain. Something else I tried was a bag of bird seed. I bought a 5 pound bag and planted it along the creek in a open spot that gets sun. Just wanting to see how that does. This sounds exactly what I am going to do this spring and see how it does. I bought some black oil sunflower seeds and then a 24lb bag of bird seed with milo, millet and more sunflowers seeds in it and plant them in a few plots. I will see how they do and then may terminate one and plant oats and clover in it in Sept. Should be a good soil builder.

It grows below the feeder in spring so it should in a plowed up field. I also spread fertilizer I bought from rural king over the winter when it was still $10.99 a bag.

Spooked a couple bucks this morning on my way out of the turkey woods. They trotted off a few yards and then stopped and continued to feed. I got a good look at one of them through the binos and he was out to his ears already with a G-2 starting to form. Needless to say...I started the mineral site back up and hung my Tactacam over it!!

Deer are on the move to eat being everywhere has gotten Green! You are clueless. I drive this road twice every work day, well almost every work day. There has been zero doe car wrecks per my travels back and forth to work until this morning. Wake up and I'm tired of your hate.

Green stuff everywhere means deer do not have to travel to eat. Just get out of bed and start munching.
Does do like to seek out secluded places to drop their fawns.
Now, you all be nice. OK?

Just today was the start that I witness. Last weeks water was already under the bridge.

Fawns everywhere. Planning on cutting hay Sat., so out checking fields and these little guys were all over. (This one along a field edge. ) Momma was close by watching me. I do alot of hay and am always a nervous wreck watching out for newborns that can't get up yet, while cutting. Have not hit many , but have a few through the years. Usually can see and move outta harms way.
