Well, I initially wanted the new Wicked Ridge Fury 410. But, with the unknown e.t.a., I decided to go with the Wicked Ridge NXT400 with the Wyvern Dragon Claw bolts. I had also emailed TenPoint directly, they responded quickly, and asked about accuracy between the Fury 410 and NXT400. She assured me that the accuracy between them both are the same. She also said that the Fury 410 is her favorite new crossbow released this year, and that includes the TenPoints.
After emailing Dave at Wyvern Creations (I don't know why anyone would buy elsewhere) I decided to just make the purchase. I ordered it Monday and it was on my front porch when I got home today.
Wyvern Creations is an absolute great place to do business! Quick email response and excellent communication. No shipping fees and no sales tax. Plus, best prices around. Highly HIGHLY recommend them.

No surprise on the Furys.
I knew they would be this year’s hot seller.
No doubt Dave at Wyvern is the best in the business.

I ordered a crossbow target from Bass pro. Morrell yellow jacket. Rated for 425fps. The bolts bury too deep into my old block target.

Crossbow is sighted in at 20 yards. Shoots really well but, little inconsistency. I was locked in tight with my death grip tripod. The trigger breaks really nice.

Weigh the bolts and points. Get them to weigh the same or as close as possible.
I know it will take some time, but when you shoot, see if it's the same bolt that is opening up the group. Mark it with a felt tip marker. You could have one or two that want to shoot outside of the group for some reason.

Yes to what Esshup said. Even better is to shoot the same arrow repeatedly to check for consistentcy. Then you will know if its a bow or an arrow issue. On crossbows, 95% of the time it's an arrow issue. Factory arrows leave a lot to be desired. Everyone I read that shoots custom arrows that are spine matched, cut square, weighed, and fletched with offset vanes say they are worth every penny.
Crossbownation is a very informative site for info.

All good advice…
I always number my arrows so I can keep track of the fliers. I never shoot at the same spot in the target. My arrows cost too much for that.
If you are using a rope cocking aid versus an AcuDraw be sure the hooks are tight against the deck when cocking. It doesn't take much to throw an arrow off.
Squeeze the trigger and try to watch the flight of the arrow through the scope.
Good luck..

I am using the Wyvern Dragon Claw bolts. I was hopeful that they would fly a little better than the one's from TenPoint since I assume they are custom from Wyvern Creations.
I am using the accudraw that came with the crossbow. That thing is dead silent when cranking btw.
I have all my compound bow arrows numbered so, I suppose I should do the same with my crossbow.
I too, shoot at different dots on the target. Trying to avoid breaking bolts and arrows. I always wanted to Robin Hood an arrow. I achieved that and don't feel the urge to do it again. Too pricey.

But several guys I correspond with online say they shoot 50 to 80yds or more MOA. I have dealt with them for near 10yrs, and have no reason to doubt them. Their evaluations are good enough for me. I personally dont shoot that far, not even practice. But have no doubt modern bows and consistent arrows are more than capable.

I've got a buddy who has a Raven xbow and shoots their bolts with his. I've seen him shoot 3 shot groups @ 100 yards that were between the size of a baseball and a softball.
I was impressed, but I guess for the money he has tied up in that thing he'd be disappointed if it didn't shoot well.

They are tamed down to around 400fps, and having great results without much fuss. When you get over 350fps, things get more touchy and everything is more finicky. 450fps and really need everything perfect. I read getting broadheads to behave at those speeds can be a pain.
